this was for class, a spec drawing, i liked it so much, i inked a bit more.
Planning on coloring, wanted to make it look like one of those old school
medical illustrations. This is about sleep paralysis.

chicanery caught!
So I really like this color comp based off an old italian story about a
two headed man, or two men that share one body, and the shenanigans
with a whore that tears them apart.
Although the story is based in the 20's through maybe the 40's, or
even earlier. I wanted to make it look like a really snide 80's type of
advertisement. Sort of like my favorite book cover of all time,
which is the paperback edition of American Psycho,
someone in class caught that I had made no major change in the image from
this one. And I made invisible laser beams go forth towards her head in
my anger.
also in volleyball, our team is terrible, so i had no morale, and didn't want to play.
but the last volleys i was on the right side, and sure enough all the volleys came
to my side, and . . . of course i was awful, and got really terrible looks of disgust from
my teammates.
I wish they would just leave me alone. ;-(
also i heard this song and grooved along,
i dunno it was put on a video of disturbing stuff,
so here's the nice, alternative original one.

the more i hear doves cry
so here's some random drawing i do in school. Yikes.
a dissertation on the animal within, the grotesque sexual
rage we have flitting about in our psyches.
or it's just JO-JO BIZZARE ADVENTURE PORN!
WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!
Anyways, went to the library and picked up some books,
(mostly graphic novels for my lazy ass) since my howard stern run is over till new eps come out.
*it's such a funny show*
well i picked up
* Samurai Executioner vol. 2 book by kazuko koike and goseki kojima
kickass book about a ronin executioner who just kicks (or slashes) the shit out of people,
but with reason. Anyways, it's an interesting read if you're into feudal Japan history,
and crazy violence.
*Stray Bullets by David Lapham
dunno, guess it has to deal with crime and stray bullets.
*Dark Water by Meimu and Koji suzuki
i guess based on the novel that inspired the japanese movie and the boring American remake.
*The Dark Tower : The Gunslinger born by Stephen King and some other people.
and finally
* The Diamond Age: Or, a young lady's illustrated primer by Neal Stephenson
(I didn't get to finish this because I believe i had to move onto "House of Leaves") but Neal Stephenson is great. Just great, he creates a world ina novel that makes sense even though it's a lot of science babble you eget immersed I was first introduced to his work in "Snow Crash",
JUST READ THAT BOOK NOW!!

The Card
Well, here's my new card!
I think I kinda hit the nail on what i wanted where it's kind
of a controlled chaos sort of art style, that links to my
e-mail and blog. *my cell phone number was on it as well,
but err, i edited that out for now.
so what did i do today,
well i got one of my own useless questions answered when
I took a trip to Mitsuwa in Jersey today.
i always wondered if there was a spot you can stand in where
it is raining in one section and not in the other.
well, as we drove towards jersey, I saw a huge black mass in the sky,
in the distance. Well, when we reached that point of no return, there
was a fine mist,
two minutes of driving and whammo, it was like a storm.
a really beautiful moment, I loved it.
- Had a great run this morning in aweseome awesome weather,
much more energetic when it's not so bitterly cold.
- got me some takiyaki, and creamyaki
- had some pork cutlet with shrimp and rice (though in hindsight
i should've gotten it elsewhere. made me miss GO!GO! Curry in NYC)
- some black sesame ice cream *ugh the best* gotta run this off tomorrow.
- read vol. 2-3 of Anne Freaks at Barnes and Nobles.
- Barnes and Nobles always propels me to be inspired and do my art books, then i get home and nada. ugh!!
- Finished up the third season of "THE WIRE". what a damn GREAT show.
and fitting finale to some of the strings left open through seasons one and two.
(getting my hands on the fourth season, trying not to be spoiled by the final fifth season.)
Yes it was quite a nerdy Sunday, but i loved it.
