So i was listening to the always interesting http://www.animeworldorder.com podcast, and I got a little inspired to do a little manga/anime inspired type of art. Which would kind of be inspired a little bit by the work of Peter Chung, so that's why the guys are ultra thin... and also the complex weird designs of Final Fantasy villains. I took a little time, and well rushed towards the end, and this is before i decide to ink and color it. I didn't want the image to seem so well boyslove, so I put the tough chick in there ready to strike.
Check out these really cool podiobooks by Mark Yoshimoto Nemcoff
Transistor Rodeo Currently listening to this right now, Great fun, action adventure about robots run amok in downtown L.A.
SHADOWFALLS: BADLANDS (I actually heard this prequel first by accident, but it was superior I thought to the original)
DIARY OF A MADMAN pretty NC-17 horror novel here, at first i thought it was some sort of lukewarm Dexter type of novel, but it's a compelling, insane read, so much more than what I thought it would be. Definitely not for the weak, but really awesome podiobook.
well i've decided to place sketches on my new blog http://subwayink.blogspot.com some imagery is definitely nsfw so only big girls and big boys can look. this blog i will keep to try and put legitimately good work here.
quick piece using black 01 mircon pen, featuring off-model rendition of the Hensel twins. for more info click vid below. I give them props, because they at least have share a brave stance, while I'm a whimpering chickenshit. More people should appreciate their lives like these two do.
this is actually a page from the second book. (i haven't finished coloring the first one. and the deal why, is because i'm coloring it by hand, which makes it much easier) ... i know that sounds strange but that's how i roll, I really enjoy making these hideous looking humans. stylistically it's a departure from the first issue seen in these posts. it's more straight comic booky then flat panel art, it's probably because i'm doing it, straight pen, no penciling.
