made a special christmas cards for some people, i know over at kesenai.com and royaltycomplex.com they're the only ones who will have this copy so you u know it's from the heart. So hopefully now i will able to get the awesome christmas cards karen makes.
"A K and Q Christmas"
"It was a cold christmas eve down in NYC, where our short tale begins to unfold. the snowflakes tumbled from up above to jumble upon new yorkers below."
"But down here in Brooklyn, two girls waited lookin' out their windows with stupified glee. they had ants in their pants, which caused them to dance, as they looked on impatiently" "and finally S.t Nick, arrived looking slick, his bag, bountiful with toys. he placed several presents, near K and Q's presence and smiled with unrestrained joy."
"with a flick of his nose, his body arose, and floated away with his bag. K and Q smiled after, a bout of hard laughter exclaimed, Hey Santa thanks for the cool swag!"

COVER DESIGN
I'm thinking of making a graphic novel series for Zazzle.com.
here'd be the cover for book one, i got the storyline out, but i'd
tinker with it, and the storyline is genre-jumping and very nihilistic
and misanthropic. (ha ha i can relate due to real life things to me lately.)
But I dunno, school is ove rin a week, and my scanning at home is finally
working correctly. I like the cover scheme, but i realized maybe it's just a
reverse of mark millar's "WANTED" comic covers. well anyways, I'd want them to
be provacative and sexually charged cover, since it is an underlying and obvious theme in the
story.

progress
here's the third in the sequence.
(the other is the second) i was just doing it in school, gotta finish coloring and cleaning up stuff.
looks good though, originally the dragon was colored greenish with orange hair, but then that would've brugh up shades of a heroin-chic BOWSER.

Hi, I just gained 5lbs!
so i ate two pork sandwiches this morning.
jogged for half an hour, sweated my ass off just to
eat some arroz con gandules, potato and macaroni salad,
meat stuffing, and copious amounts of turkey. with
a slab of pumpkin pie with reddi whip and jello with reddi whip.
two steps forward three steps back, we come together cuz opposites attract.
here's some quick wacom art . . . plaster them on your myspace friend's pages. wow!

VINYLPULSE news and reviews in the world of vinyl
COMPUTER ARTS PROJECTS MAGAZINE I just picked up the October issue and
it's must read material for vinyl/adobe after effects/fabric toys enthusiasts.
it's worth the 16.99, (Barnes & Noble) BUT, it was lacking the vinyl toy supposed to
be affixed on the cover. maybe that's for only subscribers, or english customs don't
let that stuff
go through the mail, who knows?!

class project evolution
Here be comps for a class project I have to do on sleep paralysis.
initial sketch then inked
(framing was wrong due to me having A.D.D.)
pencil straight to ink comp 1.
comp #3
(was gonna add second hand, then crosshatch. nahhhh)
original position comp# 2
(the action all fell in the middle, which is apparently a no no)
color comp 1.
color comp 2.
So now after being yelled at for incorrect size distribution, I did an 11x17 ver.
and I'm set to go inks and watercolor. let's see how it comes out.

old school
last year pic of proposed odd children's book i was working on with a friend.
it never got fully made since i lost all the images and it was a bitch to draw.
LINK: THE OVERNIGHTSCAPE - cool, frequently updated funny podcast set New York,
where the host frank goes on about the city, pop culture, food reviews. Much like my
sense of humor the show is 100% hilarious when Frank Edward Nora touches upon
life in the city using self-deprecating comedy,
makes hilarious social commentary, and flies off the handle in anger.

marvelous
i don't read superhero comics, but when i'm bored at work, i mean really bored.
i see if i can draw them. my wolverine back then reallly sucked. this is better i think at least.
though his nose and face lean to his right, like i have a thing with all my character faces.
my spirit of vengeance i like though. I suck at chains sometimes due to lethargy, ha ha.
and no i didn't sit through the flick. i can't watch any Nicolas Cage movie unless it has the words 8 or MM in the title.
3-5 mins pen.
LINKS: GAME SET WATCH - Cool retro/current game art blog.
also i am currently reading the monstrously taxing and challenging (but strangely enthralling/captivating)
HOUSE OF LEAVES.
What a mindfork.

webcomics
hmm, i should be starting up my webcomic soon. i need to find my source book where i had put
plot points and notations and such down. small parts were put in the "comic genesis" free sampler
around. I dunno if they were actually circulated around. But, alas, i need to totally redraw all
the old pages (which i started way back 2002 i think.) well, it was up to 500 pages until i just
stopped. i wanna self publish, but in a nutshell it's a comic about gangs/government conspiracies/
love/ultraviolence/odd humor and hitmen and hitwomen. yah. and drugs.
here's the main character.
i'm sure ill link sometime in the future.
LINKS: HOMETOWN TALES <- cool, podcast/and videos dealing with local supernatural tales/

meh
been bogged down with coming up with new ideas for personal pieces, as well as submitting to shirt companies. I have to come up with some original water color/ink pieces to sell on the street. As, ta-dah a street vendor . . . We'll see how that goes.
here be some random work 'fore i start putting up new stuff.
Wack attempt at trying JUXTAPOZ-ish art? ha ha. i like the clean and controlled line though.
Obviously not from my scanner.
speaking of.

september twelfth
hey, here's me screwing around in one of my digital classes, a photoshop chop shop if you will.
well this is very limited time on a wacom, on a mac. just for fun,
I envisioned one of those Japanese manga/anime-esqe meglomaniacal villains that gives
his speech of bad-assery right before he dies and like the ship blows up or something.
Also, for the linkage today, I shall post up the fellas at MUTTPOP.
They just have some bad assed Lucha-libre style characters.

introductions
Hey everyone, just making my first post here, going to be updating as much as possible,
right now I am trying to get a new scanner, see if that works out.
Here is a quickie drawing i did straight with ink and brush about a year ago.
=
I'm hearing the Canoscan LIDE is good under 50 but takes like a minute to juice up.
because I'm sick of my HP 5500 just doing awful bright scans.
anyways, here are some cool links to check out . . .
DRAWN.CA > blog of cool artists
JEANSNOW.NET > blog from the cooler artistic aspects of Japan.
shoutout to Jessica Yeomans, a monstrously talented artist i take classes with.
hit herblog up for some amazing work.
